Central Park will soon be blanketed with a thick layer of leaves that will need to be raked and taken to a recycling facility for composting. Having limited use of leaf-blowers for environmental reasons, the Central Park Conservancy mobilizes hundreds of volunteers each fall to manage the huge task of raking leaves by hand.
