My family will be headed out on several summer road trips next month, which always gets me thinking about where we'll stop for a quick bite to eat on our way to and from our destination.  More likely than not, we'll be pulling into a Burger King drive-through or restaurant while traveling about, and while we're there, it's a safe bet that we'll be sampling some of the items from Burger King's newly-expanded menu, which includes a variety of items sure to please everyone in our family (well, except my 4-month-old son Ben, who sadly won't be able to partake in the Burger King yumminess!).

So what's the scoop on this new menu?  Well, Burger King is now giving you even more reason to "Have it Your Way," having rounded out their menu to provide more choice, including a variety of  made-to-order Garden Fresh Salads, Snack Wraps, Real Fruit Smoothies, Frappes, and Crispy Chicken Strips.  Burger King's new Garden Fresh Salads are made fresh daily with premium ingredients that can be topped with your choice of Tendercrisp or Tendergrill chicken.  The salads come in several varieties, including Chicken BLT, Chicken Caesar, and Chicken, Apple & Cranberry.
The new Snack Wraps come in 2 yummy varieties - Honey Mustard Crispy Chicken and Ranch Crispy Chicken.  At less than 400 calories each, they're the perfect mid-afternoon pick-me-up.  And if your kid is a fan of chicken strips (and what kid isn't?), then you'll want to check out Burger King's new Crispy Chicken Strips, made with white meat tenderloin chicken, marinated and lightly battered in seasoned home-style breading.  Kids can dip the Crispy Chicken Strips in one of eight BK classic or bold new sauces. 

On the beverage front, Burger King's Real Fruit Smoothies are made fresh to order with real fruit, low-fat yogurt and juices blended together.  Available in either Tropical Mango or Strawberry Banana, each smoothie provides a full serving of fruit.  Last, but certainly not least, Burger King's new Frappes are also made to order and provide the perfect combination of sweet Mocha or Caramel flavors, a hint of coffee and ice.  For more information, visit Burger King's website.  Happy eating!
