My family is more than a little bit snack-happy.  Sweet, salty, savory, crunchy or chewy - you name it and we love it.  Indeed, between my husband, our 4 1/2 year-old daughter Sadie and myself, we go through more snack foods in a week than I care to admit (our 6-month-old son hasn't yet joined our snack habit, but I have no doubt he'll develop his snack chops soon enough).  Given this proclivity for all things snack-related, it's important that our between-meal munchies be as healthy and all natural as possible.  Whether it be fruit, nuts, whole grain crackers or organic cheese, I try to stock up on healthy treats that will curb my family's appetite without expanding our waistlines.

So of course I was excited to learn about KRAVE jerky, an all-natural, artisanal snack that is both healthy and flavorful.  Yep, you read that right - jerky!  You may have tried jerky before, but believe me, you have never tried anything like KRAVE jerky.  I was lucky enough to receive a sampling of a variety of KRAVE's jerky flavors and I am pleased to report that my husband, Sadie and I are now full-fledged jerky converts.  What's all the fuss about?  Well, rather than leathery, chemically-processed jerky, KRAVE's gourmet products are all-natural, innovative and absolutely delicious. 

That's right, apparently the words "jerky" and "innovative" need not be mutually exclusive.  KRAVE's jerky is available in some pretty amazing combinations, including Basil Citrus Turkey Jerky, Lemon Garlic Turkey Jerky, Chili Lime Beef Jerky, Curry Beef Jerky, Smoky Grilled Teriyaki Pork Jerky, Sweet Honey Chipotle Beef Jerky, and Pineapple Orange Beef Jerky.  And believe me, these all taste just as delicious as they sound.  Adding to the flavor enjoyment is the fact that the pieces of jerky practically melt in your mouth; they aren't at all tough or rubbery. They're that perfect bite of sweet, savory and salty all in one and it's an amazingly tasty combination.  Although I loved all of the KRAVE flavors I tried, my favorites were the Smoky Grilled Teriyaki Pork Jerky and the Basil Citrus Turkey Jerky.  Even my daughter Sadie got in on the jerky fever that swept our home as soon as the KRAVE sampler arrived, boldly trying nearly every variety and asking for seconds of most of them!  And of course I felt great about letting her try KRAVE jerky since it's not only tasty but also happens to be devoid of any nitrates, hormones or artificial flavors, which definitely helps make KRAVE a winner in my book.
