Don't Miss Justin Roberts at The Jewish Museum!
Justin Roberts & The Not Ready for Naptime Players will rock the house this Sunday!
When it comes to family fun, New York City kids really do have it made. From story times to festivals to concerts and more, our city tots have the world at their fingertips. Case in point? This Sunday October 14th, acclaimed indie kids' singer Justin Roberts will perform at The Jewish Museum, where kids ages 2 to 7 can shake their feet to Justin's upbeat acoustic-pop and soulful sounds and hear whimsical songs from his Grammy-nominated album, Jungle Gym, such as We Go Duck and New Haircut. Justin will also play hip tunes with a biblical twist from Why Not Sea Monsters: Songs from the Hebrew Scriptures.
Called "the Paul McCartney of kids' music" by USA Today, Justin Roberts logs thousands of miles on the road each year, leading some to call him the hardest working man in children's show business. Clearly, his hard work has paid off, because Justin has garnered numerous national awards and recognition, as well as a devoted fan base of kids and parents alike who adore Justin's unexpectedly intelligent and whimsically rocking music. Jungle Gym, his seventh CD, visits the collective memories of childhood - the joys of trick-or-treating, gym class parachutes and sleepovers, and the magic stillness of snow days.
Justin will be joined at Sunday's performance by The Not Ready for Naptime Players, featuring Liam Davis and Gerald Dowd. It's sure to be a rockin' good time, and the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your family, so head on over to The Jewish Museum's website and get your tickets before they're gone! Tickets are $20 for adults ($17 for adult Jewish Museum family level members) and $15 for kids ($13 for child Jewish Museum family level members). The Jewish Museum is located at 1109 5th Avenue at 92nd Street. For more information on The Jewish Museum's fabulous array of family programs, visit www.thejewishmuseum.org.
