City of Water Day

Thousands of water enthusiasts will float, ferry, paddle, row, splash, canoe and kayak their way to beautiful Governor's Island for the 5th Annual City of Water Day Festival. Come enjoy a free day of entertainment, education and adventure for the whole family celebrating the potential of our waterfront. Festival highlights include: fun and free boat tours on historic and educational vessels; a spectacular flotilla of hundreds of kayakers, canoers and sailors; free kayaking, rowing and fishing; dozens of arts, crafts, games and activities just for kids; a waterfront activity fair; car-free waterfront biking; delicious food; live music; and much more!
Where: Many events will take place on Governor's Island, accessible via ferry from either West 39th Street Terminal or Battery Maritime Building.
