What's Open in NYC? A Reopening Guide to NYC Museums, Pop-Ups and More

October 3, 2020

After months of lockdown, many of NYC's most beloved cultural institutions and entertainment venues are beginning to spring back to life, and I for one couldn't be happier. I'm also pleased to see that these reopenings are accompanied by a plethora of COVID-aware safety protocols, including timed reservation and ticketing procedures, reduced capacity, enforcement of social distancing and face covering requirements, and various other measures designed to optimize each guest's experience while also promoting health and safety. I'll confess that I'm more than a little bit excited about the prospect of being able to visit some of my favorite NYC destinations without having to fight the crowds, and I'm looking forward to doing my small part to help our city emerge even stronger than it was before the pandemic set in. Of course, I'll continue to be mindful of the positivity rate in the city and surrounding area, and will make decisions with safety at top of mind, but it's heartening to see the vibrance for which NYC is renowned starting to make its way back into our beloved city. In case you're also contemplating an outing, I thought it would be helpful to curate a list of current openings and COVID protocols in place, so that you can make an informed decision and have the very best experience possible. Read on for details, and please let me know if you hear of any changes or additions that should be made to the list!
