Don't miss out on all the fun, and please be sure to let them know you saw it in Macaroni Kid NYC Upper East Side! Events are subject to change or cancellation. Friday, July 16th

1. Freedom Party Outside with DJ Herbert Holler (Brooklyn Bridge Park) - Join Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for the Freedom Party® Outside — an all-ages summer dance party to kick-off our Waterfront Dance Party season on Friday, July 16 from 6:00-10:00pm on Pier 3! Bring good vibes and your best moves as we dance to popular tunes by DJ Herbert Holler of the Freedom Party. Sound provided by First Live. Hosted by Savior Elmundo. Enjoy delicious treats and fresh food for purchase by Fornino, who will also provide beer and wine. OddFellows will be there with their award-winning ice cream and sweets. This event is free and open to the public.


Saturday, July 17th

2.Concerts for Kids: Story Pirates - Story Pirates believe kids are creative geniuses, which is why their shows feature stories written by kids, brought to life by talented comedians and musicians. From the stages of Kennedy Center to classrooms across the country, Story Pirates, the creators of the top podcast for kids and families, provide unforgettable experiences that inspire young authors to write. The show features classic stories written by kids, the debut of brand new stories, and improv comedy based on ideas of kids in the audience! 

3. Sprinkler Day @ Asphalt Green - It’s hot, hot, hot! Don’t let the soaring summer temperatures discourage you from enjoying the outdoors. Cool off by splashing around in Asphalt Green’s sprinklers!

4. EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH @ Broadway Comedy Club - COME BE A PART OF THE SHOW! The cast of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH delivers hilarious comedy improvised on the spot based on audience suggestions and participation. Every show is topical and customized to you. Think WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY meets Broadway.


Sunday, July 18th

5. Kids Fitness with Zing @ Bryant Park - Zing! is a fun-powered experience to help kids (and parents!) feel amaZING through movement, mindset, and play. Each class starts with a warm-up, continues with circuits of total body, creative exercises designed for kids to love, a Zinger! (high energy athletic finishers), a celebratory party, and a cool-down. All participants will receive a special Zing! Star Certificate of achievement at the end of each class.

6. Seize the King @ Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park - With his country’s throne empty, Richard knocks down threats to his ascension, fueling his insatiable ambition and paranoia. 7. The Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit at Pier 36 - The Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit is thrilled to announce the once-in-a-lifetime exhibit will be located at Pier 36 New York, a 75,000 square foot waterfront space located in Manhattan's Lower East Side with spectacular views of the East River and the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges.


Tuesday, July 20th

8. DTBK Presents: Summer Serendipity - Cyrkus! - On Tuesdays in July, dancers, circus artists, musicians and mimes perform pop-up vignettes for the lunchtime crowd at Brooklyn Commons. July 20: Sterling Strings. Sterling Strings is a diverse quartet of professional musicians who trained at top music conservatories, and have performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Tonight Show, and on Broadway.


Wednesday, July 21st

9. Music on the Green with Carnegie Hall - Music on the Green is a free concert series, inspired by Maya Lin’s Ghost Forest, that brings artists from the Hall’s Ensemble Connect to reflect on the themes of the exhibition. July 21 | Arlen Hlusko A string ensemble performed by an internationally acclaimed cellist. The themes of the Ensemble Connect’s performances at Madison Square Park are inspired by nature, designed to complement Ghost Forest.


Thursday, July 22nd

A Kid’s Life on the Jewish Lower East Side: A Walking Tour with Museum at Eldridge Street - Join us on this walking tour to discover the Lower East Side places children knew and loved in the early 1900s. Wondering what it was like to grow up on the Lower East Side in the early 1900s? Find out on this walking tour designed for children and their families! As we explore the neighborhood, we’ll discover the special spots that kids knew and loved back then, from the movie house to the tenement house, from a play street to the playground. Each stop on this tour will transport you back in time to a long-gone world, and reveal how childhood today has been shaped by what happened on the Lower East Side more than a century ago. Recommended for children five and up and their adult companions.
