Welcome to Whitney Kids Art Club! Join Whitney educators each week to complete a new artmaking project inspired by current exhibitions. Our programs aim to reach a neurodiverse audience with a wide range of learning styles and developmental stages. Tell a friend and join the club!
This week’s activity is inspired by the artist Virginia Overton. Together we will explore how Overton uses a wide range of materials to create her sculptures, such as salvaged wood, living plants, bathtubs, and old car parts. Then we will select small treasures from around our homes and materials from our recycling bins to create a found object sculpture!
