Check out the full event calendar here but here are my Top 10 picks for events and activities happening in and around the Upper East Side this week. Don't miss out on all the fun, and please be sure to let them know you saw it in Macaroni Kid NYC Upper East Side! Events are subject to change or cancellation. TOP 10 for the Week

Friday, October 22nd

1. Blood Manor - NYC's Premier Haunted Attraction - BLOOD MANOR is a first-class haunted house attraction comprised of approximately 10,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways designed to maximize one's fears. Designed to be the most intense, creepy, and scream-inducing haunted house attraction in the New York tri-state area. 


Saturday, October 23rd

2. Private Soccer Lessons @ Asphalt Green - Private soccer lessons will help players refine and improve technical soccer skills. The instructor will provide personalized attention and pinpoint new techniques and drills addressing the player’s needs. We also offer semi-private lessons and small-group training where up to three athletes can train with a soccer coach.

3. 31st Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade at the East River Amphitheater - Pooches let their alter-egos shine, putting on some of the cutest and most creative costumes you've ever seen at the annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. CNN calls it "the largest dog costume parade in the world” with hundreds of dogs in costumes and thousands of spectators. The London Guardian says “It’s Barkin’ Mad.” This year's parade contestants will be competing for exciting prizes!

4. Madison Avenue Fall Gallery Walk - A prestigious roster of 43 internationally acclaimed galleries will open their doors for curator tours and talks of their current exhibitions during the Madison Avenue Fall Gallery Walk on October 23 from 11am-6pm. One of New York’s favorite art events, this is a prime opportunity to visit the participating galleries located on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets. Organized by the Madison Avenue B.I.D, Madison Avenue Fall Gallery Walk is free and open to the public.

5. Halloween Candy Hunt @ Aviator Sports and Events Center - It’s that exciting time when your little ghouls and goblins get to dress in their costumes and participate in our candy hunt. In addition, they can run and roam throughout the farm greeting our animals, climbing on our playgrounds, and enjoying our Fall decorations. Haunting fun day!


Sunday, October 24th

6. Church Street School for Music & Art's Halloween Spooktacular - On Sunday, October 24th, from 11am - 2pm, Church Street School for Music & Art is hosting their annual Halloween Spooktacular celebration! The day will include: live music, a Halloween costume contest and fashion show, karaoke, bagel brunch sponsored by Zucker's Bagels and Smoked Fish, a make your own costume station, spooky games, Halloween themed activities, pumpkin decorating, and more! This is an in-person event and will take place at CSSMA’s 41 White Street location in the heart of Tribeca.

7. Super Family Sunday: Enchanted Forest @ Nassau County Museum of Art - Join us for a day of wonder and magic during our annual Enchanted Forest family event! Inspired by the changing seasons and forest surrounding the Museum, our multiple art activities will explore ideas of transformation, change and fantasy. Stories, scavanger hunts and special visitors complete the day.


Monday, October 25th

8. Outdoor Music Class- E 87th Carl Schurz Park (Mind Body Music NYC) - Mind Body Music's hugely fun group classes combine play, music education and mindfulness! You can expect to sing engaging new and old songs, dance to popular music, enjoy storytime and much more!


Tuesday, October 26th

9. Halloween on the Harlem Meer: Ghoulish Crafts and Spooky Entertainment @ Charles A. Dana Discovery Center - Check out our Halloween crafts and grab a front-row seat at our magical family-friendly entertainment. Come dressed in your Halloween costume and celebrate Halloween on the Harlem Meer.


Wednesday, October 27th

10. Grown Up & Me (Moving with Mackenna) - Spark a love of movement early on in your child's life by introducing them to dance. They will have fun with follow-along movement songs, learn the foundations of dance (bending knees, tippy toes, balancing, and more), express their creativity, play movement games, navigate obstacles, and more! Some activities involve guardian participation while some activities have children working by themselves.
