Check out the full event calendar here but here are my Top 10 picks for events and activities happening in and around the Upper East Side this week. Don't miss out on all the fun, and please be sure to let them know you saw it in Macaroni Kid NYC Upper East Side! Events are subject to change or cancellation. TOP 10 for the Week


Thursday, November 4th

1. Autumn Tree Walk @ Central Park - Enjoy Central Park’s spectacular fall colors as we admire a curated selection of its 18,000 trees on this autumn tree walk around the Pool.


Friday, November 5th

2. Furry Friday @ AKC Museum of the Dog - Furry Fridays are back at limited capacity, so make sure to reserve your spot! Free to members but open to everyone, reserve a ticket by signing up here for you and your dog(s). Visit the Museum during our special "furry" friendly hours. Reservations are required to attend.

3. 29th Annual Canstruction @ Brookfield Place - Construction is an annual design competition and food charity to build sculptures made of cans of food. The food will be donated to City Harvest.


Saturday, November 6th

4. Diwali Dance Party: Kathak, Bhangra & Beyond @ Flushing Town Hall -Celebrate Diwali with this all-ages festival and dance party, featuring Kathak classical dancer Abha Roy and Basement Bhangra’s DJ Rekha. Learn Bollywood, bhangra, and Kathak dance moves, then hit the dance floor. The event includes special performances by Srijan Dance Company, cooking workshops by Queens Curry Kitchen, henna painting, Indian handicrafts and Indian foods for sale, and more.

5. Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center - The world's most famous ice rink opens for the season! Ice skating under the Christmas Tree on The Rink at Rockefeller Center is one of New York’s quintessential winter activities. It’s a tradition that has never failed to delight. The Rink is a gathering place for everyone, and you’re always invited to join in on the fun.  


Sunday, November 7th

6. Pumpkin Smash 2021 @ Lou Lodati Park - Do something fun with your pumpkins after Halloween! Bring your jack-o-lanterns, uncarved pumpkins or soon to compost gourds to NYCCP hosted by QBG’s 2021 Pumpkin Smash! Smash, squash, or catapult your pumpkins to keep our city green spaces thriving. All smashed gourds will be turned into compost by the NYC Compost Project that will help revitalize soils in the city, parks and green spaces. Don’t let your pumpkins haunt a landfill, visit Pumpkin Smash 2021! There will also be games and worm bins.

7. Le Carrousel Magique in Bryant Park - Prepare to be wowed by Monday Night Magic's most talented magicians! You will be amazed by these performers as they ignite your child's sense of wonder.


Monday, November 8th

8. Arts & Crafts Open House @ 96th Street Library - Drop in to the 96th Street Library on Monday afternoons for an art activity. For ages 2 to 6. 


Tuesday, November 9th

9. Multi-Sport Athletes @ Kids In Sports - Our Multi-Sport Athlete classes are specifically designed for all age levels. These classes teach the fundamentals of baseball, basketball, floor hockey, football, soccer, and volleyball. One sport is focused on for two to three weeks before rotating to another sport. Multi-Sport Athlete classes also include a fitness and cooperative games session. Skills of each sport are taught in small and large groups, with games eventually being played at the appropriate age levels.

10.Mom's Night Out! @ The Craft Studio - Mommin’ ain’t easy and we know it! Come get some momME time and destress! Paint, chat, craft, and sip vino in a kid free zone! Complimentary snacks and beverages!
