1. Story Time at Bryant Park

Cali Co Cat and Erin Lee get you jumpin' and leapin' with fun games and stories. Join us in Overlook for this super fun and free storytime for kids. Recommended for ages 2-9, but all ages welcomed.
2. Governor's Island Winter Ice Sculpture Show
Sunday the 19th from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
FREE
Hosted by Governors Island Arts in partnership with Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) and with the expert guidance of Okamoto Studio, the show is an exciting one-day event where visitors will be able to experience live ice carving, enjoy music and warm drinks, and vote on their favorite works for the “People’s Choice Award,” presented to the fan favorite.
3. The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The timeless classic makes its way off the page and onto the stage. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle’s stories, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
4. Intrepid Museum Kids Week 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM
4 and under FREE; 5-12 $26 and adult tickets $36
During Kids Week, children of all ages and interests will learn about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) through fun-filled activities, NASA displays & exhibits, live animal shows, hands-on workshops, performances, special guests and interactive demonstrations designed to educate and inspire.

We have been going to Bryan Park's Kids Week since 2018 and we love it! Every year they do something different and it's always exciting. Here is the lineup for this year:
Tuesday:
Celebrate Fat Tuesday at Kids Week. Be amazed by the wonders of magic, craft your own colorful masquerade mask, and parade around the park with the sensational Brass Queens.

Thursday:
Bend, twist, and pose all day. The morning starts with a dance class taught by Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet, and then hop in a storytelling and miming workshop. Make a bendable mini-sculpture and pose for a picture right beside the Ice Rink.

Friday:
As we wait for spring, learn what plants need to grow healthy and strong. Pot your own basil plant, make a wildflower seed bomb to take home, and contribute a bloom to our community garden mural.

As always, everything is FREE and no registration is required for any of the events listed above for Bryant park!
The ONE thing that does need a pre-registration and can be easily missed (but you won't miss it because you made it this far) is the FREE Group Ice Skating Lesson!!!! To participate in a skate lesson, book a skate time between 9:40am – 10:40am. Once you arrive at the park, check in at the ticketholders podium, get your skates, and meet the coaches by the Bag Check window in the Lace-Up area. Lessons begin at 9:50am, 10:25am, or 11:05am.
