Italian Culture Winter Workshop
The story of "La Befana"
For children in Italy, the holiday season does not end with Christmas. January 6th is another special day when La Befana (the legendary sweet witch) pays a visit to all of the children in Italy. On the eve of January 6th, much like Christmas Eve, children hang their stockings on the mantel. In the morning, they wake up to find out whether their stocking has been filled either with candy or coal, depending on whether they have been good or bad!
Come learn more about this holiday and the story of La Befana on Saturday, January 7th from 3:00-5:00pm at Collina Italiana. We are hosting a workshop on La Befana + Tombola for children 4 years old and up. There will be will art, singing, a raffle and dancing! Registration is $50, which includes supplies and materials provided during the workshop.
Register HERE while spaces are still open.
