**Welcome to the Weekly Events Roundup!** 

This newsletter is a weekly highlight summary of all the upcoming events in our community for families with children. We hope you find it helpful and informative! 

**This week's events include:**

1. Dog Man: The Musical

I took my kids to see this and I am still blown away at how great the show was! It was like Hamilton, but for kids!  Date: 10 days left of the show! Don't miss the opportunity to see it. Tickets here.

2. StoryTime @ MCNY: City Sights, Smells, and Sounds

StoryTime @ MCNY is a free, weekly, drop-in, picture-book reading series for families and caretakers with children ages 18 months to 5 years. Join them every Friday morning from 10:00 –11:00am for an engaging storytelling session led by a museum educator, plus interactive activities and snacks! The monthly theme for March is City Sights, Smells, and Sounds.

3. Flutter

The first non-traditional theatrical event presented for the very young at Lincoln Center from a local NYC company, Treehouse Shakers' Flutter is an adventurous journey for audience members aged 6 to 18 months and their caregivers.

4. Car Free Day in NYC !

Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day is an annual car-free event hosted by NYC DOT. Programming is presented at signature locations citywide, to promote activism and education surrounding climate change, sustainability, and other relevant topics.

This event is free and open to the public. Date: April 22 from 10:00am to 3:00pm

5. Earth Day Governors Island

Back for its sec­ond year, this free day-long cel­e­bra­tion of all things eco­log­i­cal will fea­ture envi­ron­men­tal edu­ca­tion activ­i­ties for all ages.

 Date: April 22nd from 10:00am-3:00pm

6.Earth Day Festival! At Randall's Island

  • Reading with Boogie Down Books
  • Face painting with Sheila Jordan Art & Entertainment
  • Community science projects
  • Nature-based crafts
  • Photobooths
  • Lawn games
  • Performances from The Japanese Folk Dance Institute, Soh Daiko, a traditional Japanese drumming group and Pete Nater & Associates, a local Latin Jazz band!
  • Tours with our Natural Areas, Urban Farm, and Horticulture teams

 Date: April 22nd from 12:00pm-3:00pm

7. Earth Love Fest FREE all Day!

Join us for EARTH LOVE FEST, our 5th annual celebration of daytime dance party magic, sustainability workshops and inspiration for eco-action!

FREE ALL DAY! ALL AGES WELCOME! INDOOR & OUTDOOR CELEBRATIONS

This event is free and open to the public. Date: April 23 from 12:00 to 6:00pm

8. The Paper Bag Players In-Person Theater Performance

With dancing houses, singing garbage cans, trees that run, and a tug-of-war between a chicken and an apple, Big Bag of Laughs overflows with zany fun and lyrical movement from the adored Paper Bag Players. 

Date: April 23 from 10:30 to 11:30am  Tickets cost: $18

9. Earth Day at Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller Center invites families and friends of all ages to join in on the full slate of fun planned to celebrate Earth Day on Center Plaza.

Date: April 22 from 10:00 to 1:00pm  FREE
