Welcome to our Weekly Events Roundup! 

This newsletter is a weekly highlight summary of all the upcoming events in our community for families with children. We hope you find it helpful and informative!

**This week's events include:**

1. StoryTime @ MCNY: City Sights, Smells, and Sounds
FREE

Details: Every Friday for free New York City-inspired, picture-book readings for families and caretakers with children from ages 18 months to 5 years. 

  Date: Friday from 10:00-11:00am

2. UNIQLO NYC Nights at MOMA

MoMA is staying open late on the first Friday of every month and admission is free just for New Yorkers! Our galleries are constantly changing to share new artists and ideas, and we want you to be a part of it.

Friday from 4:00-8:00pm

3. Home Depot Kids Workshop

Head over to Home Depot for their monthly FREE workshop. This Saturday it will be a flower planter!

 Date: Saturday May 6th from 9:00-12:00pm FREE

4. COQUÍ CLUB

El Museo Del Barrio is hosting their free class every first Saturday of the month. Don't miss the fun. It's cute, engaging and great for the young kids!

This event is free and open to the public. Date: Saturday May 6th from 9:30-10:30am

5. China Institute Happy Rabbit Playdate

Every first Sunday starting March, China Institute Hoppy Rabbit Playdate program offers 1-hour open session where families can bring their children to our spacious and cozy indoor playground space to play, socialize, have fun with age-appropriate toys and activities. 

 Date: Sunday from 10:00-11:00am FREE

5. Carnival of the Animals Presented by NYTB

New York Theatre Ballet’s family-friendly Once Upon a Ballet series of 1-hour ballets is perfect

for ages 3 and up. Children will feel as if they are part of the action in the intimate setting of

Florence Gould Hall.

 Date: May 6th from 1:00-2:00pm Tickets $25 for kids and $35 for adults!

6. Opening Weekend for the Gilder Center at AMNH

The long awaited opening is HERE! Opens TODAY!!! Take your kids, see the butterflies and the amazing interractive rooms that will be open for exploring and playing. 

Date: Opening May 4th (Purchase Resident Pricing ticket option for the new exhibits to be included)

Bonus Round: 

New York Mother's Day Signature Brunch Pier 61

A mother's day she will never forget! We went with the whole family and this cruise was absolutely perfect. From the atmosphere to the food and entertainment. Must do for mother's day!

Tickets start around $104 per person and the cruise lasts about 2.5 hours! 

Playground Adventure Pop Up

Young people and their caregivers are invited to join us for a special pop-up event at the East 110th Street Playground, where Conservancy guides will introduce the marvels of urban planning and playground design. Participate in hands-on activities and discover what makes Central Park’s beloved play spaces so innovative.

FREE Sunday May 7th from 11:00-1:00 and from 3:00-5:00pm in Central Park at the 110th Street Playground inside Central Park.
