Description
Kids Week returns this year for outdoor fun during midwinter recess! Join us from Tuesday, February 22 to Friday, February 25 for kids skate sessions, crafts, workshops, and more! Most programs are designed for kids ages 4-6, but all ages are welcomed.
Everyday:
Kids Skate Sessions
Kids rule the rink during Kids Week mornings! Book any skate time between 9:25am to 9:55am am to skate along to your favorite kids’ songs, use a skate aid for free, or join a group skating lesson.
Kids Skate Lessons
If your child dreams of gliding across the ice, this is their chance! During Kids Week, we are offering free 30-minute group skate lessons each morning. Instructors review the importance of proper safety measures, from learning how to adequately fall and stand, to safely marching across the ice. Participation is limited to children 12 and under. Lessons will be capped at 10 children, and masks are required. Due to limited capacity, we ask that families sign up for no more than one session for the week. Skate lessons will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
More information for how to participate in lessons coming soon.
Drop in Crafts
Warm-up and get the family’s creative juices flowing with a new craft everyday during Kids Week.
Tuesday, February 22nd:
Winter Olympics Celebration
Spend the last day of the Winter Olympics at Bryant Park! Join us for a winter-themed obstacle course, pop-up fitness classes just for kids, and visit our Olympics crafting station.
Wednesday, February 23rd:
Squiggles and Giggles
Have fun, laugh, and spot the shapes and colors all over Bryant Park. Twirl ribbons into swirls and waterfalls during a ribbon dancing class, hopscotch through hoops on the rink deck, and more!
Thursday, February 24th:
Spark of Science
Put on your thinking cap, and try your hand at some simple science experiments in the park. Then, stick around and watch a live science show experimenting with liquid nitrogen and creating fake snow.
Friday, February 25th:
Feel the Rhythm
Get ready to shake, stomp, and move all morning long! Move to live drumming during an African dance class, learn the basics of capoeira, and make your own instrument to take home too.
We always recommend confirming details before attending.
